Not just the queens

bee1

As the weather warms up, so more plants come into flower which means more pollen and nectar.  The large behemoths of the sky, the Queen bumblebees should be finding nests by now and more workers are out flying.  Keep an eye out on the Trail for males like this Common Carder bumblebee.  It has a distinctive pale chestnut fur coat, without the usual black and yellow stripes associated with bees. The gender is noticeable by the facial hair.
