An Extract from a Review in The Times

“A delightful two-bedroom cottage just across the courtyard from the barns […] has gorgeous oak floors and a formidably well-equipped kitchen. And, even when I visited earlier this month, at peak harvest time, it is astonishingly quiet […] A large double bedroom each separated by a generous bathroom, the soft silence of an English autumn filtered in. Downstairs, a round dining table looked onto a fenced-off corner of the courtyard, ideal for open-air evening drinks in privacy. Through the window behind the plump sofa, pinot noir grapes draped languidly over the courtyard wall. Sarah and her team have taken both sensible and overly enthusiastic drinkers into account, including in the kitchen a slim wine-cooling fridge, two sparkling wine closures, and a glass recycling bin in the utility room for empties […] The decor was simple yet welcoming; botanical prints in the bathroom, a poster from Rathfinny’s farming days over the stairs.” Words by Nina Caplan for The Times.
