Rathfinny Wine Estate

Kidney vetch flowering

kidneyvetch

Kidney vetch can be seen from the Rathfinny Trail on the slopes of our chalk grassland.  This north facing bank is being restored and enhanced by the Estate to improve the diversity of wildlife.  This little beetle has not quite mastered the art of camouflage though.

(I’m 99% sure the beetle is a mint leaf beetle rather than the larger and more obvious Rose chafer – if I’m incorrect please feel free to correct me)
