An early start on Monday was required to catch the train to the beautiful city of York to present our wines to a fantastic group of restaurants from all points North.

Our gathering was hosted by Yorkshire Vintners, our regional distributor, and Gonzalez Byass (UK), our national distributor, at the fabulous Roots restaurant in the heart of York. Tommy Banks’ (he of Great British Menu fame) food was spectacular and the reception to our wines was very pleasing.

There is a tendency for wine producers to focus on London and the South East but Sarah and I are determined to ensure that our wines are available across the UK. We hope to be able to serve our wines to customers in the North of England from this summer onwards.

Thank you to all those who made it and we look forward to working with you in 2019. I thought our Rosé went exceptionally well with this Yorkshire rhubarb dish with milk bread.

Finally, I was very excited to taste Tommy banks signature dish, roasted Beetroot steak, not quite vegetarian but the most amazing dish I’ve had in a long while.
