Coinciding with the highly anticipated festive season, after last year’s lack of celebrations, Rathfinny is proud to announce the fourth release of their expressive Rathfinny Rosé 2018; the perfect indulgent treat to add some much-needed sparkle to all festivities this winter.

Rosé 2018 is the first Rathfinny cuvée to be released from 2018, which is often referred to as the vintage of the decade as it was one of the warmest summers on record. Mark Driver, Rathfinny Co-Owner, announced that, “new temperature records were set in July and August and despite heavy rain in early September, the weather during harvest in October was very favourable and we picked amazing fruit with an ideal balance of sugars and acidity for our Sussex sparkling wines.”

As celebrations with friends and family get underway this winter, Rathfinny’s food-friendly Rosé is a great choice to serve at drinks parties or family-style feasts at home. It is a beautiful accompaniment to the bright flavours of popular festive canapes such as duck and ginger spring rolls and fruit-based desserts like white forest roulade, the perfect show-stopping dessert for the festive season.

“We’re extremely excited about this release, which has a lovely red-fruit style that beautifully showcases the increased presence of Pinot Noir within the blend.” said Sarah Driver, Co-Owner of Rathfinny Wine Estate.

Rathfinny Rosé 2018 is pale pink in colour with a sublime nose of Seville orange cream and flat peach, a vibrant palate of wild strawberry coulis and candied mandarin zest with a white pepper and satsuma sherbet finish.
