Our 2018 Blanc de Blancs magnum is an award-winning vintage of our elegant English Sparkling Wine, crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown and hand-harvested on the Rathfinny Wine Estate. This vintage was a Gold Medal Winner at the International Wine Challenge in 2023.

A lime-gold beading delivers a vibrant nose of mock orange and lemon thyme, a complex palate of fresh kiwi and candied kumquat zest, with a grapefruit sherbet finish.

With longer bottle-ageing, magnums develop exciting new flavour profiles. We have produced a limited volume of magnums for the discerning wine lover that makes an undeniably spectacular gift or treat to enjoy with a group of family and friends. One bottle serves twelve glasses.

2018 Vintage

Often referred to as the ‘Vintage of the Decade’, 2018 was one of the warmest summers on record. A mini heatwave developed from April onwards, causing early flowering and the dry weather promoted a good fruit set. New temperature records were set in July and August and despite heavy rain in early September, the weather during harvest in October was very favourable and we picked very clean fruit with an ideal balance of sugars and acidity for our Sussex Sparkling wines.
