The Ultimate Foodie Experience

We’ve curated a one-of-a-kind itinerary for lovers of food and wine to be immersed in the Rathfinny Vineyard. The best al fresco dining wouldn’t be complete without the Big Green Eggs which our chefs will be using throughout your stay. All guests will have exclusive use of the Flint Barns which will be your home for the night.

Itinerary

Wednesday 25th June

12pm: Check-in to your accommodation at the Flint Barns. We are happy to arrange complimentary collection from Polegate train station nearby.

1.15pm: Take in the views on a gentle guided e-bike ride before enjoying your first snack of the day cooked on the Big Green Eggs with a glass of Rathfinny Classic Cuvée. Followed by tea and cake.

2.45pm: Experience an in-depth tour and wine tasting with behind-the-scenes access to our Winery. You will learn how we produce outstanding Sussex Sparkling wines from grape to glass on our single-site Estate.

5.30pm: Dinner begins in the Courtyard with canapes and a  welcome drink, followed by three-courses cooked over coals and paired with Rathfinny wines. Late night bar available. 

Thursday 26th June

9am: Brunch in the Courtyard cooked on the Big Green Egg Mini Max.

11am: Goodbyes! Please let us know if you would like to be dropped off at the nearby train station.

Event Details

  • Date: Wednesday 25th – Thursday 26th June 2025
  • Price: From £650 – £840 for two, dependent on room availability.
  • Dietaries: We can cater for all dietaries except vegans, please notify us in advance.
  • Accessibility: If you are unable to participate in the e-bike experience or struggle with walking, our team are on hand to transport you around the Vineyard in one of our vehicles.

About Big Green Egg

We’ve long been fans of the Big Green Egg, using them at our seasonal dining events over the years. Made from NASA-grade ceramics, the EGG’s distinctive racing-green dome provides unrivalled heat retention, control and durability, and cooks restaurant-quality dishes using eight different modes: grilling, roasting, baking, low & slow, pan cooking, dirty cooking, smoking and rotisserie.

FAQs

What will happen if the weather is bad?

In the event of poor weather, the al fresco dining experiences will be moved inside our restaurant.

We will also arrange an alternative activity if the weather is too bad to cycle.

Can you provide transfers from the train station?

If you are travelling by train, we are happy to organise complimentary transfers from Polegate train station. Please let us know during your booking process so we can make arrangements.
