China Tang at The Dorchester

Stepping into the glamourous interiors of China Tang at The Dorchester evokes the decadence of 1930s Shanghai. As per tradition, head chef Chong Choi Fong has designed an exclusive menu of special Chinese New Year dishes aptly named to bring good tidings to guests. These include ‘May you Realise your Ambition’ comprising of wok-fried tiger prawns or ‘Eternal Spring Returns’ of seasonal snow pea shoots topped with white crab meat. Meanwhile, the pastry team will serve a one-off dessert designed around the theme of the rabbit, along with red lantern macarons as petit fours.

Here you’ll find a bottle of our 2018 Blanc de Noirs which pairs beautifully with red meat dishes and is bold enough to take on a lick of chilli heat. Lion dances provide entertainment on Lunar New Year’s Eve, Saturday 21st and Lunar New Year’s Day, Sunday 22nd.
