Rathfinny Wine Estate

The Rathfinny Trail

OVERVIEW. Start at the Flint Barns. The Trail is marked with wooden sign posts and routes to and from are marked with our red Rathfinny shields.

On the Trail you will be able to enjoy the mosaic of habitats we have from the flower rich chalk grassland banks to woodland and the Vineyard itself. Come and explore! Whatever the time of day or year, there's always something new to encounter.

NOTE. The Rathfinny Trail is officially classified as a "permissive footpath" running across the Rathfinny Wine Estate, and is subject to closure on certain days for Vineyard work.

GETTING TO THE RATHFINNY TRAIL

From High & Over Car Park. Take care to cross the road heading west from the car park, over a stile and into the field. Continue along the edge of the field keeping the woodland to your right and follow the red Rathfinny shields. Go through a wooden gate and take the next footpath on your right down some steps towards the Trail. 1 mile / 20 minutes.

From BoPeep Car Park. Head straight through the car park away from the South Downs Way towards the south. Follow the bridleway on the ridge and this takes you to the Estate boundary. 2.5 miles / 55 minutes.

Further Information. Please see the OS map 123 for longer walks along the Cuckmere Valley to arrive at the Rathfinny Trail.
