English Picnic & Wine Tasting Drop-In
The Drop in Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross, will be showcasing Rathfinny Wines at one of their cult drop-in tasting weekends on 9th & 10th July from 12pm. Join us for an English picnic fare and a tasting of our Sussex Sparkling wines This is the perfect location for the Wimbledon finals weekend as you can enjoy amazing food and drinks in a buzzing atmosphere and watch the matches on the big pop-up screen on the nearby banks of Regents Canal.
The Wine
All four of our Sussex Sparkling wines (Blanc de Blancs, Blancs de Noirs Classic Cuvée and Rosé) will be available by the glass, bottle or flight of four for £20. You can also purchase bottles to take-away at special rates.
The Food
To eat, The Drop will be serving some English picnic favourites to enjoy with our sparkling wines. There will be a selection of sandwiches including coronation chicken, cucumber and cream cheese and smoked salmon. Try The Drop’s pork pie from Coombeshead Farm with fiery English mustard followed by and the classic combination of fresh strawberries and cream.
About The Drop-in Tasting Series
The Drop-In series focuses on a certain wine region or style of wine, with a special dish served to match. The events are intended to be a genuinely accessible, delicious and sociable way to discover new wines and develop your palate. The team will be on hand to engage with guests about the wines, but there is no commitment to do anything more than try whatever you want to. The Drop’s regular food and drinks menu will also be available throughout the weekend.
