Join us for a Vineyard Picnic this summer beside the vines and enjoy a selection of picnic favourites, including freshly prepared sandwiches, Rathfinny sausage rolls, dips with crackers and Sussex strawberry cheesecake. Best experienced with a bottle of wine made from the surrounding estate-grown fruit.

Dates: Every Wednesday – Sunday between 3^rd June – 30^th August 2026
Times: Book a slot between 12:00 – 15:00
Price: £35 per person / £13 per child. Excludes drinks.
Duration: 2 hours

Seating is first come, first served, otherwise blankets are available. A bottle of wine can be purchased with your picnic upon collection and drinks can be ordered from The Hut throughout your visit.

Summer Tours run on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays between 1st May – 20th September 2026. Lasting 1 hour 45 minutes. Recommended times for Tours & Picnic bookings:

Can you cater for dietary and allergy requests?

Unfortunately we cannot cater for specific dietary or allergy requirements with our picnics. However if you would like a vegetation option, please let us know in advance of your visit. We can always remove certain picnic items should you wish.

How accessible is the picnic area?

Please note that the picnic area takes a few minutes to walk to down a steep grassy path. Please let us know in advance if you have any mobility issues so we can help prepare for your visit. In the event of essential vineyard maintenance being carried out, picnics may be moved to an alternative location.

What happens in the event of poor weather?

Picnics will be prepared for you to take away and enjoy at your leisure.

How can I make amendments to my booking?

Picnic bookings can be changed to an alternative date if a request is received 48 hours or more prior to the date of the booking. Bookings can only be moved once.

What is your cancellation policy?

Payments will be refunded in full if a cancellation request is received 48 hours or more prior to the date of the booking. For requests received with less than 48 hours’ notice no refund will be offered; however, the estate will be happy to transfer the original booking into another name.

Are children and dogs allowed to attend Picnics?

Yes! Children are welcome and we have designed a menu just for them. Well-behaved dogs are allowed to join you on a picnic but must be kept on a lead at all times.

Do you charge for damages?

By providing card details, customers agree that any items that are included in the experience are returned in good condition. We reserve the right to charge the provided card for any damaged or missing items up to the sum of £65.

How can I book a picnic for more than 6 guests?

Picnics for groups of between six-twelve people are available upon request. Please contact our Reservations team for further details and to place your booking.
