Whether you’re an experienced artist or picking up a pencil for the first time, try your hand at sketching some native creatures on the Rathfinny Estate under the expert guidance of wildlife artist, Tom Middleton. This relaxed two-hour experience invites you to explore your artistic side while enjoying a flight of three Sussex sparkling wines and panoramic vineyard views.

Experience overview

Tom Middleton is an award-winning British wildlife artist whose work is shaped by a deep fascination with the natural world. After taking up wildlife art professionally, his growing awareness of the pressures facing wildlife sparked a passion for conservation. His work has since received multiple accolades at Wildlife Artist of the Year, including category wins in 2020, 2024 and 2026.

For Sip & Sketch at Rathfinny, Tom swaps the traditional art class for something more relaxed: a sociable wildlife drawing event, enjoyed over a glass of wine, with Tom guiding you through the creative process. No experience is required and all materials are provided.

This event feels particularly at home at Rathfinny as sustainability has guided our business from the start, culminating in achieving B Corp certification in 2023. Today, more than a third of the Estate is dedicated to nature, with work spanning habitat restoration, biodiversity, rare chalk grassland and lower-impact viticulture.
