Spring Half Marathon & 10.7K Charity Race

Back for it’s fifth year, we’re thrilled to be supporting local Sussex charities once again with a race around the Rathfinny Estate. Organised by 3WordRuns, this is a plastic-free event which champions sustainable race practices.

The route comprises of an undulating 10.7km off-road trail around the Rathfinny Wine Estate with half marathon runners completing two loops. The elevation for each loop is approximately 330 metres.

The Hut al fresco wine bar will be open all day for light bites, hot drinks and Sussex Sparkling wine for participants and spectators to enjoy.

Running without the footprint

A sustainable ethos remains at the heart of this race, so there will be no plastics in use or race t-shirts.

Instead, we’ll be awarding recycled slate medals to all runners who complete the course and planting trees and shrubs around the Estate for every runner that has entered. Each runner will also receive a trainer repair kit to help extend the life of their trainers. Shuttle busses and car pooling is recommended for this event.
