The Tasting Room is now Closed
As we welcome a new year, we also begin a fresh chapter at Rathfinny Wine Estate. The Tasting Room restaurant, in its current form, will close on 14th January 2026 as we look ahead to the future expansion of our visitor experiences.
This marks the first step towards an exciting new phase for the Estate, including a recently submitted planning application for further development work of our accommodation facilities. If approved, we are looking to upgrade and increase the number of rooms onsite and to remodel the Flint Barns Dining Room restaurant to provide beautiful vineyard views that our guests have long desired.
Long before we had even crafted our first wines, we knew hospitality would be an essential part of the Rathfinny experience: providing the best platform to welcome, educate and inspire customers to discover Sussex Sparkling at our home in the South Downs.
Wine tourism has grown beyond our imagination from when we started on this journey 16 years ago. With visitors travelling from far and wide to explore the Sussex Winelands, we want to invest in our leading visitor offering which requires us to close the Tasting Room and reimagine its potential. We will continue to celebrate Sussex in all that we do, by focusing on seasonal, local produce and sustainability.
We would like to thank all our guests who have dined with us in the Tasting Room over the years and extend our sincere appreciation to our team for their dedication and support. We know the restaurant will be missed by many.
The Flint Barns accommodation and Dining Room restaurant, Rathfinny Cottage and Cellar Door shop will remain open as usual. Please check our opening hours before planning your next visit.
